Classic Full English Breakfast
The ultimate British fry-up with crispy bacon, golden sausages, fried eggs, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and buttered toast. A hearty start to any morning.
Ingredients
- •4 pieces pork sausages (Cumberland or Lincoln)
- •4 pieces back bacon rashers (smoked or unsmoked)
- •2 pieces large free-range eggs
- •200 g baked beans
- •2 pieces vine tomatoes (halved)
- •100 g chestnut mushrooms (sliced)
- •2 slices thick-cut bread (white or sourdough)
- •20 g butter
- •1 tbsp vegetable oil

Preheat the oven to 100°C to keep cooked items warm. Place an oven-safe plate inside.

Heat a large frying pan over medium heat with a drizzle of oil. Add the sausages and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning regularly until golden brown all over and cooked through. Transfer to the warm plate.

In the same pan, lay the bacon rashers flat and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until crispy. Transfer to the warm plate.

Place the halved tomatoes cut-side down in the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened and slightly charred.

Add the sliced mushrooms with a small knob of butter. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until golden.

Heat the baked beans in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes until hot.

Notes
For the best results, cook the sausages and bacon first as they take the longest. Keep everything warm in a low oven (100°C) while you finish the remaining items.
Tips
Use a large non-stick frying pan or a flat griddle to cook multiple items at once. Quality sausages make all the difference — look for ones with a high meat content (85%+).
